Taxonomic note: Bulla ampulla Linnaeus, 1758 is no longer a valid name for the alien species found in the Mediterranean, genetic data revealed that it is actually Bulla arabica Malaquias & Reid 2008. WoRMS still refers to both species as valid for the Mediterranean (Greece). References:
