Etymology

  • Chromodoris. From Greek “chromas”, colour + “doras”, skin. 
  • Doris, in Greek mythology, wife of Nereo, nymph of the waters and mother of the Nereids.
  • Quadricolor. From Latin “quattor”, four + “color”, colour.
