\n<\/strong>Paz-Sedano et al.(2024) conducted a comprehensive phylogenetic analysis of the family Goniodorididae, which includes both genus Goniodoris<\/em> and Okenia<\/em>. Their findings indicated that G. nodosa<\/em>, and therefore the genus Goniodoris<\/em>, should be synonymized with the older genus, i.e., Okenia<\/em>. However, the morphology of the remaining species of Goniodoris<\/em> matched better with Pelagella<\/em>, a genus that already includes species previously assigned to Goniodoris<\/em>. Thus, Paz-Sedano et al. (2024) tentatively transferred species of Goniodoris<\/em> to Pelagella<\/em>, except for Okenia nodosa<\/em>, until more species are sequenced.<\/p>\n
