{"id":209,"date":"2012-05-13T10:50:24","date_gmt":"2012-05-13T08:50:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/opistobranquis.info\/anaspideus-anaspideaanaspideos-anaspideaanaspideans-anaspidea"},"modified":"2025-10-29T14:37:08","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T13:37:08","slug":"aplysiida","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/opistobranquis.info\/es\/guia\/aplysiida\/","title":{"rendered":"Aplysiida"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Los <b>Aplysiidos\u00a0<\/b>(antiguos Anaspideos) son un grupo bastante homog\u00e9neo en cuanto a morfolog\u00eda y donde se encuentran las especies de mayor tama\u00f1o dentro de los Opistobranquios, las llamadas <em>liebres de mar <\/em>del g\u00e9nero <i>Aplysia<\/i>. Son herb\u00edvoros y se alimentan de diferentes especies de algas y faner\u00f3gamas marinas. Se conocen unas 80 especies en todo el mundo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size:10pt;\" class=\"aligncenter\"><div id=\"featured-img-id\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/opistobranquis.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/aplysia-punctata-15.jpg?w=900&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Aplysia punctata by Enric Madrenas\" \/><\/div><center><em>Aplysia punctata by Enric Madrenas<\/em> por Enric Madrenas<\/center><\/span><p><\/p><\/p>\n<p>Los aplysiidos est\u00e1n bien cefalizados, destacando en la cabeza un par de tent\u00e1culos labiales anteriores, un par de rin\u00f3foros enrollados y los ojos. La cabeza se une al resto el cuerpo por un cuello m\u00e1s o menos extensible. La masa visceral es voluminosa y posee unas prolongaciones del manto o <b>parapodios <\/b>que suelen estar replegados sobre ella. La concha es muy reducida, es fr\u00e1gil y est\u00e1 cubierta por un repliegue del manto; en algunas especies la concha no existe. En los Akeridae la concha es externa y est\u00e1 poco calcificada, pero el animal no puede retraerse completamente dentro de ella. La cavidad paleal es un surco a la derecha del cuerpo situado entre el manto y la base del par\u00e1podo, est\u00e1 ampliamente abierta al exterior y en su interior se encuentra la branquia, que es de tipo plegado. En la parte posterior del surco paleal desemboca el ano, que suele estar rodeado de un repliegue del manto formando el sif\u00f3n anal. En la cavidad paleal se encuentran la gl\u00e1ndula paleal o <b>de la p\u00farpura<\/b> y la gl\u00e1ndula hipobranquial u <b>opalina<\/b>, que son capaces de secretar sustancias t\u00f3xicas utilizadas en la defensa del animal. El tubo digestivo se caracteriza por tener una molleja trituradora que posee placas quitinosas duras. Los aplysiidos son hermafroditas como la gran mayor\u00eda de los opistobranquios y en su aparato reproductor destaca el hecho de que el orificio genital y el pene se encuentran separados y entre ellos existe un surco de epitelio ciliado por donde deben discurrir los espermatozoides que se transfieren en la c\u00f3pula.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biolog\u00eda<br \/>\n<\/strong>Los Aplysiida son un grupo de escasa biodiversidad, pero sin embargo algunas de sus especies tienen una gran importancia en las comunidades de algas infralitorales someras donde pastan diversas algas fot\u00f3filas y tambi\u00e9n por su gran voluminosidad. Las liebres de mar son conocidas desde hace m\u00e1s de 2.000 a\u00f1os, principalmente por las propiedades venenosas de sus secreciones y por ejemplo, Plinio el Viejo en el siglo I d.C. ya denomin\u00f3 <i>Lepus marinus<\/i> (liebre marina) a ejemplares del g\u00e9nero <i>Aplysia<\/i> por la similitud de los rin\u00f3foros con las orejas de las liebres terrestres. Especies como las liebres de mar europeas <i>Aplysia fasciata<\/i>, <i>A. punctata<\/i> y <i>A. depilans<\/i> pueden alcanzar m\u00e1s de 20 cm de longitud y la especie del Pac\u00edfico californiano <i>Aplysia vaccaria<\/i> puede llegar a medir algo m\u00e1s de 70 cm de longitud y alcanzar un peso de m\u00e1s de 10 kg. Generalmente tienen actividad nocturna y durante el d\u00eda suelen mantenerse inactivas. Algunas especies pueden enterrarse en la arena. El gran desarrollo de los parapodios del manto permite nadar a algunas especies como <i>Akera bullata<\/i> y <i>Aplysia fasciata.\u00a0<\/i>Todos los aplysiidos son herb\u00edvoros y se alimentan de diferentes especies de algas (<i>Laurencia<\/i>, <i>Dictyota<\/i>, <i>Sphaereococus,<\/i> Ulv\u00e1ceas, <i>Enteromorpha<\/i>, <i>Polysiphonia<\/i> en aguas europeas) y de faner\u00f3gamas marinas, de las que pueden secuestrar sus pigmentos y gracias a ello adquirir una cripsis casi perfecta sobre el sustrato, como por ejemplo <i>Petalifera petalifera<\/i> o <i>Phyllaplysia depressa<\/i> sobre las hojas de <i>Posidonia oceanica<\/i>. Las liebres de mar cuando son molestadas pueden expulsar al exterior las secreciones de las gl\u00e1ndulas de la p\u00farpura y la gl\u00e1ndula opalina, de color viol\u00e1ceo en el primer caso y de color blanco lechoso en el segundo, un mecanismo con misi\u00f3n claramente defensiva ya que suele repeler a la mayor\u00eda de los presuntos depredadores. De los tejidos de algunas especies se han aislado adem\u00e1s diferentes metabolitos secundarios con actividad ictiot\u00f3xica que tambi\u00e9n podr\u00edan estar implicados en la defensa qu\u00edmica del animal. Como los dem\u00e1s opistobranquios, los aplysiidos son hermafroditas y la c\u00f3pula es rec\u00edproca. A la hora de la reproducci\u00f3n, las liebres de mar tienden a congregarse en fondos someros y pueden practicar una c\u00f3pula en cadena de varios individuos, de los que el primero act\u00faa como hembra al recibir esperma del siguiente, el \u00faltimo de la cadena act\u00faa como macho al emitir esperma al situado delante, mientras que todos los dem\u00e1s individuos intermedios de la cadena emiten esperma al de delante y reciben esperma del de detr\u00e1s. Las puestas est\u00e1n formadas por un largo cord\u00f3n transparente y de tipo mucilaginoso enrollado de forma apelotonada con numerosos huevos (m\u00e1s de 100.000 citados en <i>Aplysia punctata<\/i>) de color amarillo o anaranjado. De los huevos eclosionan larvas vel\u00edgeras que se alimentan de pl\u00e1ncton. Algunas especies de liebres de mar son utilizadas como alimento en China y en Hawaii y <i>Aplysia californica<\/i> es com\u00fanmente utilizada en experimentos de neurofisiolog\u00eda debido a la presencia de axones gigantes en su sistema nervioso.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Distribuci\u00f3n<br \/>\n<\/strong>La mayor\u00eda de las especies de Aplysiida viven en aguas templadas o c\u00e1lidas, muy pocas especies son de aguas fr\u00edas, destacando en este sentido <i>Aplysia punctata<\/i> que alcanza a vivir en las costas de Groenlandia. Algunas especies como <i>Aplysia parvula<\/i> y <i>A. dactylomela<\/i> tienen una distribuci\u00f3n anfiatl\u00e1ntica y una especie similar, <em>Aplysia argus<\/em> ha sido citada en todo el Indo-Pac\u00edfico. Otras especies como <i>Aplysia juliana<\/i> y <i>Dolabrifera dolabrifera<\/i> son circuntropicales, viviendo tanto en el Indopac\u00edfico como en aguas tropicales del Atl\u00e1ntico. La especie cosmopolita <i>Bursatella leachii<\/i> ha tenido desde principios del siglo XX una migraci\u00f3n lessepsiana y ha ido colonizando el Mar Mediterr\u00e1neo procedente del Mar Rojo; <i>B. leachii<\/i> ya se ha citado en la cuenca occidental del Mediterr\u00e1neo, incluidas las costas catalanas.<\/p>\n<p><b>Clasificaci\u00f3n<br \/>\n<\/b>El orden de los <i>Aplysiida <\/i>(hasta ahora conocidos como <em>Anaspidea<\/em> o\u00a0<em>Aplysiomorpha<\/em>) se compone de dos superfamilias, los <i>Akeroidea<\/i> y los <i>Aplysioidea<\/i>, que constan cada una de ellas de una sola familia. Los <i>Akeroidea<\/i> comprenden \u00fanicamente 5 especies del g\u00e9nero <i>Akera<\/i>. Son opistobranquios primitivos que anteriormente hab\u00edan sido incluidos entre los <em>Cephalaspidea<\/em>. Poseen una concha externa ligeramente calcificada, y un cuerpo largo, modificado para excavar en sedimentos blandos. La regi\u00f3n de la cabeza es peque\u00f1a y no tienen tent\u00e1culos orales ni rin\u00f3foros. Algunas especies como <i>A. bullata<\/i> pueden nadar gracias a los parapodios. Los <em>Aplysioidea<\/em>, com\u00fanmente llamados \u201cliebres de mar\u201d, constan de 12 g\u00e9neros entre los que destaca el g\u00e9nero <em>Aplysia<\/em> con m\u00e1s de 30 especies diferentes. Tienen medidas muy variables, desde menos de 1 cm hasta m\u00e1s de 70 cm. En general tienen una cabeza grande y aplanada, con un par de rin\u00f3foros quimioreceptores y un par de tent\u00e1culos a cada banda de la boca.
