Son tambi\u00e9n conocidos en sentido amplio bajo el nombre de Dorid\u00e1ceos.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size:10pt;\" class=\"aligncenter\"><div id=\"featured-img-id\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/opistobranquis.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/peltodoris-atromaculata-19.jpg?w=900&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Peltodoris atromaculata @ Costa Brava, Spain by Enric Madrenas\" \/><\/div><center><em>Peltodoris atromaculata @ Costa Brava, Spain by Enric Madrenas<\/em> por Enric Madrenas<\/center><\/span><p><\/p><\/h5>\n<p>Estas babosas marinas se caracterizan por tener un cuerpo de forma alargada o aplanada en el que se distingue bien el dorso o n\u00f3tum de los flancos del cuerpo. Los rin\u00f3foros son contr\u00e1ctiles o pueden retraerse completamente en el interior de la cabeza. El dorso del animal puede ser liso o estar adornado de tub\u00e9rculos de diferentes formas: redondeados, \u00a0c\u00f3nicos, digitiformes, etc. Las especies de algunos g\u00e9neros como <i>Jorunna<\/i>, <i>Taringa<\/i> y <i>Rostanga<\/i> tienen tub\u00e9rculos provistos de esp\u00edculas que sobresalen en forma de corona y que se denominan tub\u00e9rculos cariofilideos.<\/p>\n<p>Las hojas branquiales rodean al tub\u00e9rculo anal y se encuentran situadas en la regi\u00f3n posterior del dorso. Seg\u00fan los grupos pueden ser simplemente contr\u00e1ctiles (fanerobranquios) o pueden retraerse totalmente entro del cuerpo (criptobranquios).<\/p>\n<p>La alimentaci\u00f3n de los Doridida es muy espec\u00edfica, son todos carn\u00edvoros y se alimentan principalmente de esponjas, pero tambi\u00e9n hay especies que comen briozoos.<\/p>\n<p>Dentro de los Doridida se consideran dos grupos con la categor\u00eda de Infaorden, los <b>Doridoidei<\/b>, donde se encuentran la mayor\u00eda de las especies, y los <b>Bathydoridoidei<\/b>, con s\u00f3lo dos g\u00e9neros y pocas especies, de profundidad y aguas fr\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p>La taxonom\u00eda de los Doridida propuesta por Bouchet et al.
