Descripción
Cuerpo liso y alargado de color verde, pigmentado con puntos amarillos iridiscentes y con manchas azul brillante dispersas aleatoriamente a lo largo del mismo. La coloración verde se debe a los cleptoplastos almacenados en las células que recubren la glándula digestiva, visibles a través de la piel de color verde y ligeramente translúcida. Dos puntos azules se hayan justo debajo de los ojos. Los rinóforos son largos, enrollados, de color gris blanquecino con puntas moradas. El área pericárdica está casi completamente cubierta por los dos grandes parapodios, cuyos bordes están ondulados lateralmente. El cuerpo se estrecha hacia el final formando una cola corta de forma triangular. La suela del pie no es aparente.

Biología
Se encuentra a poca profundidad en el infralitoral, sobre algas Flabellia petiolata, que es probablemente su fuente de alimento. Muy activo, se puede ver arrastrándose también sobre algas rojas como Peyssonnelia o incluso sobre Sphaerococcus coronopifolius.

  • Rubeni. Dedicada a Rubén Martín Cubero, prometido de la autora principal del trabajo original.

Distribución
Descrito a partir de especímenes encontrados en las costas occidental y oriental de la región de Puglia (Italia), pero también hay observaciones de Croacia, Malta, Creta e incluso de las Islas Canarias.
