Nota taxonómica: Se recupera el nombre D. venustus para las poblaciones del Pacífico oriental anteriormente consideradas D. frondosus. Los ejemplares del Pacífico de D. venustus muestran diferencias consistentes a nivel morfológico y molecular con los ejemplares atlánticos de D. frondosus (Stout et al. 2010).
