Font taxonòmica: World Register of Marine Species (AphiaID: 139523).
Nota taxonòmica: Es recupera el nom D. venustus per a les poblacions del Pacífic oriental anteriorment considerades D. frondosus. Els exemplars del Pacífic de D. venustus mostren diferències consistents a nivell morfològico i molecular amb els exemplars atlàntics de D. frondosus (Stout et al. 2010).
