Biology
Etymology
- Geitodoris. From Greek “geitonos”, neighbor (meaning close or similar) + “Doris”, in Greek mythology, the wife of Nereus, a sea nymph and mother of the Nereids.
- Bacalladoi. Dedicated to D. Juan José Bacallado Aranega, (1939-), Professor of Animal Biology, Zoology, University of La Laguna, Director of the Museum of Natural Sciences of Tenerife, member of the Academy of Sciences of Canarias and Director of the Project “Galapagos: Heritage of Humanity”.
