Etymology
- Philinoglossa. From genus Philine (another genus of Cephalaspideans) + from Greek “glossa”, tongue.
- Philine. Derived from Greek “philainoi”, name of two Carthaginian brothers who fougth for their homeland and who received honors as Gods.
- Helgolandica. From Heligoland, small German islands in the North Sea, in Pinneberg district, in the Slesvig-Holstein land. Heligoland is located 46 kilometres off the German coastline and consists of two islands: the inhabited main island (Hauptinsel) to the west, and the Düne to the east, which is not permanently inhabited, but is today the location of Heligoland’s airstrip.
